SHOP SMALL GIVE BIG ... BUT MAKE IT WILD
Maiden Noir, an AAPI independently ran business located in the Japantown of the greater Chinatown-International District of Seattle has partnered with Interim's WILD youth program with the re-launch of Maiden Noir’s physical storefront Spring opening to include a RE-USE SHOP. In celebration of AAPI heritage month and #GiveBig Washington we hope to bring awareness to this inner-city youth program to bridge the connections of our neighborhood youth and elders within their communities to be leaders for future generations.
Each purchase of the Re-USE shops outdoor gear items instore and online will support the WILD youth Summer program located in the center of Chinatown. The selection of goods in the RE-USE shop is a curated collection of gently used outdoor gear from vintage to premiere outdoor brands ranging from bags, prints, footwear and select SS21 Printed T-shirt collections. A variety of sizes for all ages for men, women and youth and footwear from size youth size 2 to Men's size 12. Wild Inner-city Leadership Development (WILD) supports inner-city AAPI, BIPOC, and refugee youth from ages 14-18 in weekday after-school and outdoor adventure Summer programming. The WILD program ran by Interim CDA, a non-profit based in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District, is an award winning youth program that engages over 100 low-income refugee and immigrant youth in three tiers of leadership with year round experiential programming through neighborhood projects that focus on environmental justice, intergenerational learning and civic engagement.
